01 — About the clinic
Meridian is a modern chiropractic practice built around one belief: you deserve to understand what is happening in your body. Every plan starts with a thorough assessment and a clear explanation — never a guess.
Postural screening, orthopaedic and neurological testing, and a written plan you take home.
Techniques chosen from current clinical research — and adapted to what your body responds to.
Targeted exercise programmes so the relief you feel in clinic actually lasts at home.
If chiropractic isn't the answer, we say so and refer you to the specialist who is.

06 — Common questions
No. Chiropractic is a primary healthcare profession in the UK, so you can book directly with us. If you are claiming through private medical insurance, check your policy — a small number of insurers still ask for a GP referral first.
Most patients describe adjustments as a relief rather than a pain. You may hear a popping sound — that is simply gas releasing from the joint, and it is harmless. Some people feel mild stiffness for a day afterwards, much like after exercise. If you would prefer low-force techniques, we have gentle alternatives and will always use them on request.
It depends entirely on the condition, how long you have had it and how your body responds. Many straightforward complaints settle within four to six sessions. You will get an honest estimate at the end of your first assessment, and we review progress as we go — we will tell you when you no longer need us.
Comfortable clothing you can move freely in — gym or activewear is ideal. We need to assess how you move, so avoid restrictive belts or stiff denim where possible. Gowns are available if you would prefer to change at the clinic.
Yes — we are recognised by all major UK insurers. Please bring your policy number and authorisation code to your first appointment. If you are paying yourself, you can download itemised invoices at any time from the patient portal.
